First hour

Do these before you submit again.

Work in order. Submit once through the task in the account.

The free Google Ads business operations verification guide walks through the evidence matrix, a copyable control sheet, and the pre-submission checklist.

Which notice

Match the notice before you upload.

Read the words in the Google Ads account, then open the guide and the kit on that row. The price is the one-time Stripe price. A suspended Google Business Profile and a restricted Meta ad account already have their own emergency hubs, linked from the notice. Merchant Center and Local Services Ads use their own guides and kits. Do not upload this verification packet there.

Google's public page on Google Ads account pausing says an account may be paused when business operations verification is required, after an in-account notification and an email. A paused account cannot run ads. You can still open the account and its reports. Related accounts that use the same payment method may be paused. Merchant Center accounts linked to a paused Google Ads account may be paused. Google also says any new accounts you try to create may be paused. When Google reviews the form and decides it meets the program, ads can serve again if they follow Google Ads policies. That is Google's published rule, not an approval date for your account. Google decides.

The official task list is Tasks required for advertiser verification. Google says the Advertiser verification page is now Account, under Admin, then Policy, then Account. Only a Google Ads account admin can complete the tasks. The business operations task asks about your organization, the products or services you offer, your advertisements, and your relationships with other organizations. Google says most advertisers will not see that task. If you were given a deadline, the account will be paused if verification is not done by that deadline, and review can take up to 5 business days. Start the task from the account. Do not open a second account.

If a submission was rejected, use Issues with answering questions about your business operations. Google says you get an email and an in-account notification when it cannot verify business operations. Common rejection reasons include an organization name that does not exactly match the legal name on the registration, an address that does not match the documents, and a website that is invalid or not tied to the account. Google also asks for relationship proof when an agency, domain owner, or other business is involved, and for enough detail to show who provides the goods or services. Accepted uploads are clear photos or scans in PDF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG. Google says webpage screenshots are not accepted as the uploaded documents, and proof-of-address files such as a utility bill or bank statement must typically be issued within the last 90 days. Google decides whether the corrected file is enough.

The program overview is Advertiser verification. Google says it uses the information to verify identity or business operations, and that you can check status on the account page. Status can take up to 5 business days to update. Submitting false information violates the Circumventing systems policy and can suspend the account. Google may ask you to verify again after a payments profile, billing address, or business information change. Google decides the outcome. This hub is not legal advice.

Evidence

Proof that matches the Ads account.

A reviewer should see the same legal name, address, website, and payments profile in the task and in the files. Send the strongest matches, not every document you can find.

Evidence checklist

  • Verification status screenshot and the rejection note, with the customer ID visible
  • Business registration, formation document, or DBA proof
  • Government-issued photo ID if the task asks for it
  • Address proof that matches the business, such as a utility bill, bank statement, or lease
  • Website contact, about, and footer pages that show the same name and address
  • Landing page, offer, and refund or cancellation policy that match the ads
  • License or certification if the business is in a regulated category
  • The prior upload and the confirmation after the one corrected submission

Related kits

When the pause is not a Google Ads verification task.

A suspended Google Business Profile, a restricted Meta ad account, a Merchant Center problem, and a Local Services Ads suspension are different cases. Use the hub, guide, and kit that match the notice. Keep each file separate. Do not paste a Google Ads verification answer into another platform.

FAQ

Questions owners ask when Google Ads asks for verification.

What should I do in the first hour after Google Ads pauses my account for Business Operations Verification?

Save the verification status and the rejection note, and stop resubmitting until you can name the mismatch. Match the legal name, address, and website across the payments profile, the documents, and the site. Gather the proof that answers the task, then submit once through the verification path in the Google Ads account (Admin, then Policy, then Account). Do not open a second Ads account.

Should I create a new Google Ads account while verification is pending?

No. A second account can look like an attempt to get around verification. Google's account pausing page says new accounts you try to create may be paused, and related accounts that share a payment method may be paused too. Work the paused account through the official task unless Google tells you otherwise.

What proof should I gather before I submit Business Operations Verification?

Bring files a reviewer can match to the account: the status screenshot and rejection note, business registration or DBA proof, a government-issued photo ID if the task asks for it, address proof, website pages that show the same name and address, the offer and refund policy, and a license if the category requires one. Redact account numbers. Keep the business name and address visible. Google's issues page says webpage screenshots are not accepted as the uploaded documents. Send the strongest files, not every file you can find.

Where is the free Google Ads business operations verification guide?

The free guide is at https://businessfixkits.com/blog/google-ads-business-operations-verification-response. It covers the evidence matrix, a copyable control sheet, the relationship explanation, and the pre-submission checklist. The $49 kit adds the editable evidence matrix, relationship map, website consistency audit, and submission log.

What do I get with the Google Ads Business Operations Verification Kit?

Buy it at https://businessfixkits.com/products/google-ads-business-operations-verification-kit. It is a one-time $49 purchase, checked out with Stripe. After checkout you get an instant download: a PDF walkthrough, editable templates and scripts, and a tracker for the notice, evidence, submission, and follow-up. It is educational. It does not guarantee that Google will approve the account.

Does this kit guarantee Google will approve my Ads account?

No. Google decides verification, pausing, and timing. The kit organizes the file so you can submit one factual response. It is not legal advice and it does not replace Google's policies.

What if the problem is a suspended Business Profile, a Meta restriction, Merchant Center, or Local Services Ads?

If the Google Business Profile is suspended, use the hub at https://businessfixkits.com/hubs/google-business-profile-suspended and the Google Business Profile Suspension Appeal Kit. If Meta restricted the ad account, use the hub at https://businessfixkits.com/hubs/meta-ad-account-restricted and the Meta Ad Account Restriction Appeal Kit. Merchant Center misrepresentation and price or availability problems, and a Local Services Ads suspension, each have their own guide and kit. Keep each case in its own file. Do not paste one platform's answer into another.

Is All-Access membership a better buy than the single kit?

All-Access is $29/mo at the Founding Member rate, locked for life while you keep the membership. It includes the current kit library, including this verification kit, while the membership is active. Cancel anytime. After the founding window closes, new members pay $39/mo. If you only need this one verification file, the $49 one-time kit is the direct purchase. The one-time kit is yours to keep. Membership access lasts while the membership is active.

Important fit note

Clear guidance, not an approval promise.

This hub is an educational first-hour path for a real business. Google decides whether ads can spend again, and when. Nothing here is legal advice, and nothing here is permission to invent documents, hide a mismatch, or open a second Ads account to get around verification.
